Film horor adalah sebuah genre film yang berusaha untuk memancing emosi berupa ketakutan atau rasa jijik dari penontonnya. Alur cerita mereka sering melibatkan tema-tema kematian, supranatural, atau penyakit mental. Banyak cerita film horor yang berpusat pada sebuah tokoh antagonis tertentu yang jahat.
