Selama empat bulan, Smith mengurus hak distribusi film ini setelah penayangan perdana di Sundance Film Festival, tapi kemudian Smith membiayai sendiri dengan menggandeng John Horn dari Los Angeles Times. Smith memilih untuk mendistribusikan sendiri di bawah bendera SModcast Pictures saat mempromosikan di beberapa kota. Film ini dirilis dalam format video on demand pada 1 September 2011 melalui Lionsgate, di beberapa gedung bioskop pilihan, dan pada 23 September 2011 oleh (via SModcast Pictures).
