Patricia Highsmith (19 Januari 1921 – 4 Februari 1995) adalah seorang novelis dan penulis cerita pendek Amerika, yang dikenal atas cerita seru psikologi buatannya, yang dibuat dalam lebih dari dua puluh adaptasi film. Novel pertamanya, Strangers on a Train, telah diadaptasi untuk drama dan layar lebar beberapa kali, terutama oleh Alfred Hitchcock pada 1951. Highsmith menulis 22 novel, yang meliputi serial lima novel buatannya dengan Tom Ripley sebagai protagonis, dan beberapa cerita pendek.
