Katgut

Katgut merupakan sejenis tali yang dibuat dari fiber alami yang terdapat pada kulit usus hewan. Biasanya yang digunakan adalah usus kambing atau domba, tetapi juga kadang-kadang usus sapi, babi, kuda, keldai, atau bagal.

Katgut umumnya digunakan untuk membuat alat musik petik dan gesek, seperti harpa, kecapi, biola, viola, selo dan gitar akustik . Namun kini katgut digantikan oleh material lain seperti baja atau polimer buatan.
