Alpha Indi (α Ind / α Indi) adalah bintang dengan kelas spektrum K0 III–IV, dan memiliki magnitudo tampak 3,11 di rasi Indus. Alpha Indi merupakan bintang raksasa jingga (orange giant) dengan sistem multi bintang. Bintang ini berada pada 101 tahun cahaya dari Bumi.

Etimologi sunting
Bintang ini dikenal dengan nama The Persian (orang Persia), nama yang diberikan oleh pendeta Jesuit pada abad ke 17. Nama ini merupakan mistranslasi dari nama rasi Indus berasal dari nama salah satu asterisma dimana bintang ini berada, yaitu Pe Sze 波斯 "orang Persia" (sebagai bintang kedua). Nama yang diberikan oleh bangsa Arab untuk bintang ini adalah Al Nair, dari النائر an-na´ir "yang terang", nama yang dibagi dengan Alpha Gruis.
