Xanthostemon adalah genus tumbuhan pohon dan semak yang merupakan bagian dari keluarga Myrtaceae. Genus ini pertama kali dideskripsikan pada tahun 1857 oleh ahli botani Jerman–Australia, Ferdinand von Mueller. Menurut berbagai sumber resmi genus ini berisi antara 46 dan 51 spesies yang diketahui. Mereka tumbuh secara alami di Kaledonia Baru, Australia, Kepulauan Solomon, dan Malesia (termasuk Filipina, Papua Nugini, dan Indonesia). Genus Pleurocalyptus dan Purpureostemon dari Kaledonia Baru secara morfologis berkerabat dekat dengan genus ini.
