Wulfhere atau Wulfar adalah raja Mercia dari 658 hingga kematiannya pada 675. Putra Penda, Wulfhere menjadi raja setelah pemberontakan melawan kekuasaan Northumbria di Mercia. Aksesinya menandai berakhirnya supremasi Oswiu atas Northumbria di Inggris selatan. Dia memperluas wewenangnya atas lembah Thames dengan mengorbankan Wessex dan menaklukkan Pulau Wight dan sekitarnya, yang dia tawarkan kepada Raja Æthelwealh dari Sussex. Kekuasaannya juga meluas ke Surrey, Essex dan Kent, tetapi tidak di Northumbria.
