The Imitation of Christ, karya Thomas à Kempis, adalah buku renungan Kristen yang pertama kali disusun dalam bahasa Latin Abad Pertengahan dengan judul De Imitatione Christi (ca. 1418–1427). Teks renungan ini dibagi menjadi empat buku berisi petunjuk spiritual yang terperinci: (i) "Nasihat Bermanfaat dalam Kehidupan Spiritual", (ii) "Petunjuk untuk Kehidupan Batin", (iii) "Tentang Penghiburan Batin", dan (iv) " Tentang Sakramen Mahakudus". Pendekatan devosional dalam The Imitation of Christ menekankan kehidupan batin dan penarikan diri dari hal-hal duniawi, dibandingkan dengan peniruan aktif terhadap Kristus yang dilakukan oleh para saudara lainnya. Devosi dalam buku-buku ini menekankan devosi kepada Ekaristi sebagai elemen kunci kehidupan spiritual.
