Berikut merupakan silsilah atau nasab keluarga Nabi Islam Muhammad yang diturunkan dari Kilab bin Murrah hingga anak-anaknya. Muhammad mengaku sebagai keturunan Ismael melalui Bani Hasyim. Muhammad juga memiliki keturunan Yahudi melalui nenek buyutnya, Salma binti Amr ibu dari Abdul Muthalib.

- Watsilah bin al-Asqa meriwayatkan bahwa Muhammad berkata "Sesungguhnya Allah memilih Isma'il dari keturunan Ibrahim, memilih Bani Kinanah daripada suku-suku lain dari bani Ismail; Dia memilih Bani Quraisy daripada suku-suku Kinanah lainnya; Dia memilih Bani Hasyim daripada keluarga Quraisy lainnya, dan Dia memilihku dari Bani Hasyim.”
