Perang Soviet–Jepang (1945)

Perang Soviet-Jepang 1945 (bahasa Rusia: Советско-японская война) (Jepang: ソビエト戦争), dimulai pada tanggal 9 Agustus 1945, ketika Soviet menyerbu negara boneka Jepang Manchukuo. Dalam perang ini, Soviet berhasil menduduki wilayah Manchukuo, Mengjiang (Mongolia Dalam), Korea bagian utara, Sakhalin bagian selatan, dan Kepulauan Kuril. Kekalahan Tentara Kwantung Jepang di Manchuria menjadi salah satu penyebab menyerahnya Jepang dan berakhirnya Perang Dunia II.
