Istilah "Pengungsi Palestina" awalnya mengacu kepada orang Arab dan Yahudi yang tempat tinggal normalnya berada di Mandat Palestina namun mengungsi dan kehilangan mata pencaharian mereka sebagai akibat dari Perang Palestina 1948.
