Aktor karakter

Aktor karakter adalah seorang aktor pendukung yang memerankan karakter yang menarik, tidak biasa, dan eksentrik, atau aktor yang dapat membawakan peran berbeda dengan dirinya dan berhasil melakukannya dengan baik. Istilah ini sangat kontras dengan aktor utama, agak abstrak dan terbuka untuk diinterpretasikan. Dalam arti harfiah, semua aktor dapat dianggap sebagai aktor karakter karena mereka semua memainkan "karakter", tetapi dalam arti biasa, aktor karakter adalah aktor yang memainkan peran pendukung yang khas dan penting.

Aktor karakter dapat memainkan karakter yang sangat berbeda dari kepribadian kehidupan nyata aktor di luar layar, sementara dalam arti lain aktor karakter mungkin adalah orang yang berspesialisasi dalam peran kecil.
