Nepenthes abalata adalah spesies kantong semar yang dikenal dari pulau-pulau Filipina barat, yaitu Culion, Cuyo, dan Malalison. Spesies ini telah tercatat dari padang rumput pesisir dan daerah bersemak pada ketinggian 0–20 m di atas permukaan air laut.

Nama spesifik abalata dapat diterjemahkan sebagai "dari alata" yang mengacu pada sejarah N. abalata dengan penyebarannya yang luas dan sangat bervariasinya N. alata.
