DisneyToon Studios, awalnya Disney Movietoons dan juga Disney Video Premieres, adalah studio animasi Amerika yang menciptakan direct-to-video dan sesekali teater, film animasi, film pendek dan spesial televisi. Studio ini adalah sebuah divisi dari Walt Disney Animation Studios, yang menjadi bagian dari The Walt Disney Studios. Disneytoon Studios merupakan bagian dari Walt Disney Animation Studios. Produksi fitur pertama Disney MovieToons pada tahun 1990 dengan DuckTales Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp. Dengan animasi dari Disney Animation France pada saat yang sama, Disney mulai memproduksi direct-to-video sekuel dari Walt Disney Feature Animation film: yang pertama adalah Aladdin (1992) sekuel The Return of Jafar (1994). Ketika Aladdin terpilih sebagai kandidat potensial sebagai serial TV animasi (sebelum rilis film itu), seperti halnya dengan banyak serial animasi, tiga episode pertama yang satu cerita multi-bagian Disney yang digunakan sebagai potensi 'film keluarga khusus' untuk Jumat malam sebelum premier seri. Dalam Januari 2003 Disney mereorganisasi Disney MovieToons/Disney Video Premieres satuan Premieres dipindahkan dari Disney Television Animation to Walt Disney Feature Animation. Dan berganti nama menjadi DisneyToon Studios pada bulan Juni. Pada tanggal 25 Juli 2005, Disney mengumumkan bahwa mereka menutup DisneyToon Studios Australia pada bulan Oktober 2006, setelah 17 tahun berdiri, dengan fitur akhir adalah Cinderella III : A Twist in Time.
Pada tanggal 22 Juni 2007, manajemen DisneyToon Studios diserahkan kepada kendali Ed Catmull dan John Lasseter di bawah bendera berganti nama menjadi Feature Animation Studios, sekarang disebut Walt Disney Animation Studios. Sebagai kepala kreatif, Lasseter menyerukan pembatalan semua film masa depan dalam produksi atau pengembangan di DisneyToon Studios yang tidak terhubung ke Disney Consumer Products waralaba . Akibatnya, direncanakan atau dalam proses sekuel Dumbo, Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons dan The Aristocats semua dibatalkan di antara proyek-proyek lain.
