The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy adalah sebuah seri novel komedi fiksi ilmiah yang dikarang oleh Douglas Adams. Seri ini awalnya muncul dalam bentuk komedi radio di BBC Radio 4 pada tahun 1978, lalu diadaptasi ke format lain dan perlahan menjadi fenomena multimedia yang mendunia. Beberapa adaptasi ceritanya meliputi pertunjukan panggung, "trilogi" lima buku yang diterbitkan antara 1979 dan 1992, novel keenam yang dikarang Eoin Colfer tahun 2009, seri TV tahun 1981, permainan komputer tahun 1984, dan tiga seri adaptasi komik dari tiga novel pertama yang diterbitkan DC Comics antara tahun 1993 dan 1996. Versi film Hollywood yang diproduksi dan direkam di Britania Raya dirilis pada bulan April 2005. Adaptasi radio untuk novel ketiga, keempat, dan kelimanya disiarkan pada tahun 2004 sampai 2005. Adams sendiri sering ambil bagian dalam sejumlah adaptasinya, seperti novel, seri TV, permainan komputer, dan draf naskah film Hollywood. Beberapa pertunjukan panggung bahkan memakai naskah baru karangan Adams.
