Tendai (天台宗 , Tendai-shū) adalah sebuah aliran Buddha Mahayana di Jepang, sebuah turunan dari aliran Tiantai atau Sutra Teratai di Tiongkok.

Pengajaran Tiantai pertama kali dibawa ke Jepang oleh biarawan Tiongkok Ganjin (鑑眞) pada pertengahan abad ke-8
