TVNZ 1 adalah stasiun televisi pertama Selandia Baru di antara TVNZ 2, yang mulai beroperasi pada 1975 oleh Television New Zealand (TVNZ). Stasiun televisi ini menawarkan berbagai program termasuk berita, drama, pertunjukan, kartun dan talkshow.

TVNZ 1 memulai penyiaran pada 1 Juni 1960 sebagai AKTV2 di NZBC-TV, dimana siaran dimulai pada gelombang rendah. Pada Juni 1961 siaran NZBC-TV bisa diakses di seluruh Auckland.
Pada 1 April 1975, NZBC-TV berganti nama menjadi TV One dan mulai 1 Oktober 2016, TV One berganti nama lagi menjadi TVNZ 1.
