Solana Imani Rowe (lahir 8 November 1990), atau lebih dikenal dengan SZA merupakan penyanyi R&B asal Amerika Serikat. Ia lahir di Saint Louis, Missouri, lalu berpindah ke Maplewood, New Jersey. Pada Oktober 2012, SZA merilis album mini pertamanya berjudul See.SZA.Run, kemudian ia merilis album mini keduanya S di April 2013. Pada Juli 2013, ia menandatangani kontrak bersama label rekaman Top Dawg Entertainment, lalu merilis album mini Z pada April 2014. SZA merilis album studio debutnya pada 9 Juni 2017 berjudul Ctrl.

Kehidupan awal
Solana Imani Rowe lahir pada 8 November 1990, di St. Louis, Missouri dan dibesarkan di Maplewood, New Jersey. [1] Ayahnya adalah produser eksekutif di CNN, sementara ibunya adalah eksekutif di AT&T. SZA lahir dari orang tua Amerika-Afrika, seorang ibu Kristen dan seorang ayah Muslim. Karier
Awal karier
SZA pertama kali bertemu anggota Top Dawg Entertainment selama CMJ New Music Report pada 2011, ketika perusahaan pakaian pacarnya mensponsori sebuah pertunjukan di mana Kendrick Lamar tampil. Musik awalnya diberikan kepada presiden TDE Terrence "Punch" Henderson, yang terkejut dengan kualitas materi. Keduanya tetap berhubungan, dan setelah SZA mulai menghasilkan buzz dengan merilis dua EP-nya, TDE melangkah untuk mengontraknya sebagai artis wanita pertama label 2013.
Pada 29 Oktober 2012, SZA merilis EP debutnya See.SZA.Run. Pada 10 April 2013, SZA merilis EP keduanya, S, yang mendapat tanggapan positif dari para kritikus musik. Pada 14 Juli 2013, Top Dawg menandatangani kontrak dengan SZA. Album CTRL
Pada tanggal 28 April 2017, SZA menandatangani kontrak rekaman label besar pertamanya dengan RCA Records. Pada 9 Juni 2017, SZA merilis album debutnya, Ctrl, untuk mendapat sambutan universal dari para kritikus musik, mencetak nilai 86 dari 100 peringkat di Metacritic. Ctrl diberi peringkat sebagai album terbaik 2017 oleh Time.
Pada 28 November 2017, SZA menerima lima nominasi Grammy termasuk satu untuk Best New Artist. Ia menerima nominasi artis wanita terbanyak untuk 2018 Awards dan secara total menjadi artis nominasi keempat. Meskipun demikian, ia tidak akhirnya memenangkan penghargaan apa pun yang dinominasikan untuknya.

Gaya musik SZA telah digambarkan sebagai "alt R&B". SZA mendengarkan Ella Fitzgerald untuk pengaruh vokal.
