Pacta conventa (Kroasia)

Pacta conventa (bahasa Latin untuk "perjanjian kesepakatan") merupakan kesepakatan yang dibuat antara Raja Kálmán dari Hungaria dan bangsawan Kroasia pada 1102 atau setelahnya, yang mendefinisikan status uni personal Kroasia dan Hungaria. Naskah terawal dari dokumen tersebut berasa dari abad ke-XIV, sehingga beberapa sejarawan percaya bahwa itu kemungkinan palsu.

Dokumen berjudul Pacta conventa atau Qualiter (kata pertama dalam dokumen) ditemukan di perpustakaan Trogir. Hingga abad ke-XIX dianggap berasal dari 1102. Tetapi sejarawan saat ini berpendapat bahwa itu bukan dokumen asli dari 1102 dan kemungkinan palsu dari abad ke-XIV, tetapi isi dari Pacta Conventa masih sesuai dengan situasi politik saat itu di Kroasia. Dokumen tersebut disimpan di Museum Nasional Hungaria, Budapest.

U Muzeju se nalazi bogata biblioteka obitelji Garagnin-Fanfogna koja čuva knjižnu građu od inkunabula do sredine 20. st., a nastala je zaslugom I. L. Garagnina. Tijekom 19. st. preseljena je u prostorije u kojima se i danas nalazi, s oslikanim stropovima i namjenski izrađenim drvenim ormarima za knjige. U knjižnici se nalaze djela sa svih područja ljudskog znanja, a među njima se nekoć nalazio poznati spis tzv. Pacta Conventa iliti Qualiter (danas se čuva u Budimpešti), koji govori o ugovoru hrvatskog plemstva s ugarskim vladarom.
