Osmeriformes /ɒsˈmɛrɪfɔːrmiːz/ adalah salah satu ordo ikan bersirip kipas. Nama ordonya berarti "berbentuk bau", diambil dari Osmerus (salah satu genusnya) + kata akhiran ordo ikan formes. Kata tersebut berasal dari bahasa Yunani Kuno ὀσμή (osmé atau "bau menyengat") + bahasa Latin forma ("bentuk luar"). Penamaan tersebut dikrenakan aroma khas daging pada genus Osmerus.

Ordo ini terdiri dari dua subordo dan enam famili. Sumber lain menyantumkan susunan yang sedikit berbeda, apakah diperlakukan sebagai subordo (Galaxoidei dan Osmeroidei) atau superfamili (Galaxoidea dan Osmeroidea), pembagian dalam dua garis keturunan umumnya tetap dipertahankan
