Makedonia (bahasa Yunani: Μακεδόνες, Makedónes) adalah sebuah suku kuno yang tinggal di dataran aluvial di sekitaran sungai Haliacmon dan hilir Axios di bagian timur laut Yunani daratan. Secara khusus adalah suku bangsa Yunani kuno, mereka secara bertahap meluas dari tanah air mereka di sepanjang lembah Haliacmon di tepi utara dunia Yunani, menyingkirkan atau menyudutkan suku-suku non-Yunani tetangga, terutama Trasia dan Iliria.
