Pada Zaman Kuno Klasik, Orakel atau peramal adalah orang atau badan dianggap sebagai sumber prediksi nasihat atau kebijaksanaan kenabian atau untuk mengetahui masa depan yang belum terjadi, terinspirasi oleh para dewa. Dengan demikian itu adalah bentuk ramalan.
Peramal yang paling penting dari Yunani kuno adalah Pythia, pendeta Apollo di Delphi, dan oracle Dione dan Zeus di Dodona di Epirus. Kuil-kuil lain dari Apollo yang terletak di Didyma di pantai Asia Kecil, di Korintus dan Bassae di Peloponnese, dan di pulau-pulau Delos dan Aegina di Laut Aegea. Hanya Orakel Delfi yang seorang perempuan, semua orakel lain adalah laki-laki.
