John Hawkes (lahir John Marvin Perkins tanggal 11 September 1959) merupakan seorang aktor Amerika Serikat. Ia dikenal dengan perannya sebagai pecandu methamphetamine Teardrop Dolly dalam film Winter's Bone, di mana ia mendapatkan nominasi Academy Award kategori aktor pendukung terbaik. Latar belakang sunting
Lahir di Alexandria, Minnesota, ia merupakan putra dari Peter John "Pete" Perkins, seorang petani dan peternak, dan Patricia Jeanne (née Olson). Ia dibesarkan di kota kecil bersama komunitas Skandinavia. Ia lulus dari Jefferson High School di Alexandria, Minnesota dan pindah ke Austin, Texas, di mana ia merupakan anggota band Meat Joy, bersama Gretchen Phillips. Ia juga merupakan anggota grup musikal King Straggler bersama aktor Rodney Eastman dan Brentley Gore.
