Hyperia macrocephala adalah spesies zooplankton amphipoda di dalam famili Hyperiidae. Nama macrochepala berasal dari bahasa Latin yang berarti "kepala besar". Spesies ini ditemukan di Samudra Antartik dan mungkin menjadi spesies Hyperia yang paling berlimpah di perairan ini. Spesies ini merupakan zooplankton herbivora, memakan fitoplankton dengan diversitas rendah. Spesies ini merupakan diet makanan dari penguin Pygoscelis.
