HMS Dreadnought adalah sebuah kapal tempur yang dibangun untuk Angkatan Laut Britania Raya yang telah merevolusikan peperangan di laut pada awal abad ke-20. Nama kapal ini berasal dari kata dalam bahasa Inggris yang sudah tidak digunakan lagi, "dreadnought", yang berarti "orang yang tidak memiliki rasa takut". Penugasan Dreadnought pada tahun 1906 merupakan kemajuan dalam teknologi laut sehingga nama kapal ini menjadi nama jenis kapal yang serupa dengan kapal ini, yaitu "dreadnought". Kapal-kapal perang yang menjadi usang akibat kapal ini disebut kapal "pra-dreadnought".

Peluncuran kapal ini memicu perlombaan senjata laut di seluruh dunia, khususnya antara Jerman dengan Britania karena Jerman dengan segera membangun kapal-kapal untuk menandingi kapal ini.

Walaupun dirancang sebagai kapal tempur, satu-satunya kiprah kapal ini adalah dalam menubruk dan menenggelamkan kapal selam Jerman SM U-29. Selama Perang Dunia I, kapal HMS Dreadnought tidak turut serta dalam Pertempuran Jutlandia pada tahun 1916 dan juga pertempuran-pertempuran laut lainnya.
