Genosida Kamboja adalah sebuah genosida dilakukan oleh rezim Komunis Khmer Merah yang dipimpin oleh Pol Pot antara 1975 dan 1979. Semua tahanan kebanyakan adalah loyalis dari rezim sebelumnya, aktivis, serta semua keluarga mereka. Setidaknya terdapat ribuan orang tak bersalah yang ditahan dan disiksa di tempat ini. Bentuk penyiksaan yang terjadi juga sangat tidak manusiawi.

Awalnya para tahanan difoto, kemudian didata. Setelah itu semua barang bawaan mereka dirampas dan mereka ditelanjangi untuk diperiksa. Setelah dimasukkan dalam sel, mereka akan dirantai dengan rantai besi yang menempel pada tembok. Para tahanan tak diperkenankan bicara satu sama lain. Setiap pagi pakaian mereka dilucuti untuk pemeriksaan. Mereka hanya diperbolehkan makan empat sendok nasi dan sup dua kali sehari.

Para tahanan disiksa dengan cara-cara yang kejam seperti disetrum, organ dalam mereka diambil tanpa anestetik, beberapa mengalami kekerasan seksual, dan beberapa bahkan dikuliti hidup-hidup. Dari sekitar 17.000 orang yang masuk, hanya tujuh orang yang berhasil selamat.
