Biografi Sunting

Ayah Frank Borzage, Luigi Borzaga, lahir di Ronzone, (kemudian menjadi bagian dari Austria-Hungaria, sekarang Italia) pada 1859. Sebagai tukang batu, ia terkadang bekejra di Swiss; ia bertemu dengan orang yang kelak menjadi istrinya, Maria Ruegg (l. 1860, Ricken, Swiss, – m. 1947, Los Angeles), di mana ia bekerja di sebuah pabrik sutra. Borzaga berpindah ke Hazleton, Pennsylvania pada awal 1880an di mana ia bekerja sebagai penambang batubaru. Ia membawa tunangannya ke Amerika Serikat dan mereka menikah di Hazleton pada 1883.

Anak pertama mereka, Henry, lahir pada 1885.
