Derek and the Dominos adalah band blues-rock Inggris–Amerika yang dibentuk pada musim semi 1970 oleh gitaris dan penyanyi Eric Clapton, keyboardis dan penyanyi Bobby Whitlock, bassis Carl Radle dan drummer Jim Gordon. Keempat anggota sebelumnya bermain bersama di Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, selama dan setelah masa jabatan singkat Clapton dengan Blind Faith. Dave Mason menyediakan gitar utama tambahan pada sesi studio awal dan bermain di pertunjukan live pertama mereka. Peserta lain pada sesi pertama mereka sebagai band adalah George Harrison, rekaman yang albumnya All Things Must Pass menandai pembentukan Derek and the Dominos.

Band ini hanya merilis satu album studio, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, diproduksi oleh Tom Dowd, yang juga menampilkan kontribusi ekstensif pada lead dan slide guitar dari Duane Allman. album ganda, Layla tidak langsung menikmati penjualan yang kuat atau menerima siaran radio yang tersebar luas, tetapi kemudian mendapatkan pujian kritis.
