Ditulis dalam bahasa Suryani pada akhir abad ketujuh, Apokalips Pseudo-Methodius membentuk dan mempengaruhi pemikiran eskatologi Kristen pada Abad Pertengahan. Secara salah dikaitkan dengan Metodius dari Olimpus, seorang Bapa Gereja abad keempat, karya tersebut berupaya untuk membuat esensi Penaklukan Islamis di dunia Mediterania. Apokalips tersebut dikenal karena menyatukan sejumlah aspek eskatologi Kristen seperti invasi Gog dan Magog, bangkitnya Antikristus, dan pertikaian yang terjadi menjelang akhir dunia.
