Pada tahun 2017, Cathcart memerankan Dizzy Tremaine dalam film fantasi musikal Disney Channel, Descendants 2, dan memerankan Kitty dalam film To All the Boys I've Loved Before. Dia juga kembali memerankan perannya sebagai Dizzy Tremaine di angsuran ketiga dari Disney Channel franchise, Descendants 3 (2019).
