Awal kehidupan sunting
Rice dinamai dari sebuah kota di New South Wales tempat tinggal neneknya. Ia lahir di Sydney dan tinggal di Melbourne, bersama orang tuanya Jeremy Rice, seorang sutradara, dan Kate Rice, seorang penulis. Rice kuliah di Princes Hill Secondary College lulus pada tahun 2018. Ia juga tinggal di Perth selama lima tahun dan di Munich, Jerman, selama satu tahun sebelum pindah kembali ke Melbourne.
