Alexander Alexandrovich Vasiliev (bahasa Rusia: Александр Александрович Васильев) (1867–1953) adalah sejarawan Romawi Timur dan budaya pada pertengahan abad ke-20. Karyanya yang berjudul History of the Byzantine Empire (vol. 1-2, 1928) merupakan salah satu catatan sejarah Romawi Timur yang paling komprehensif.

Vasiliev belajar dari ahli Romawi Timur Vasily Vasilievsky di Universitas St Petersburg dan nantinya mengajar bahasa Arab di situ. Antara tahun 1897 hingga 1900, ia melanjutkan pendidikannya di Paris. Pada tahun 1902, ia menemani Nicholas Marr dalam perjalanannya ke Biara Santa Katarina di Sinai.
