Alestidae (sebelumnya ditulis Alestiidae) adalah sekelompok ikan dalam ordo Characiformes yang secara eksklusif ditemukan di Afrika. Famili ini berisi sekitar 18 genera dan 119 spesies ikan. Anggotanya yang paling terkenal adalah Tetra kongo (Phenacogrammus interruptus) dan Ikan harimau afrika (genus hydrocynus).
